Sivaangi, Redin Kingsley and others come on board for the cast of Vadivelu's Naai Sekar Returns

The shooting of Naai Sekar Returns, which is touted as the comeback vehicle of Vadivelu, commenced with an official ceremony on Sunday. The event was attended by the legendary comedian and other cast and crew members of the movie. The film's first look was revealed a few months ago and its motion poster was unveiled a few days ago.

Cooku With Comali fame Sivaangi, Doctor fame Redin Kingsley, Anandraj, Vigneshkanth, and Lollu Sabha Seshu will be seen playing crucial roles in the film which has been directed by Suraaj. Interestingly, Vadivelu appeared in the director's 2016 release Kaththi Sandai after a brief hiatus.

Sivaangi had taken to Twitter to express the excitement of teaming up with Vadivelu. She tweeted, "Happy to be a part of @LycaProductions #NaaiSekarReturns with the legend himself #Vadivelu @DirectorsurajS @Music_Santhosh need all your blessings and love (sic)."

Santhosh Narayanan is composing music for the movie in which Selva and Umesh J Kumar have come on board as its editor and art director respectively. Earlier, there was news about Vadivelu lending voice for a song in the film. Fans are eagerly awaiting to know if it is true. 

Naai Sekar Returns is the spin-off of Thalai Nagaram, which had Sundar C playing the lead. Though the film was initially titled Naai Sekar, they changed the title to Naai Sekar Returns as the makers of an upcoming film starring Sathish had registered the title in advance. 

Lyca Productions is bankrolling the movie after Vadivelu sorted out the issues with them. The actor has signed a five-film deal with the production company. The details regarding the other four projects will be announced after the release of Naai Sekar Returns.
