Aamir Khan started this year by embarking on a dual journey of acting as well as production. The actor is all set to star in the Hindi adaptation of the Spanish film Campeones, titled Sitaare Zameen Par. Directed by RS Prasanna, the team started shooting in February 2024. The film, which also stars Genelia Deshmukh has recently been wrapped up.

Director Prasanna took to his social media account and shared some never-before-seen pictures while announcing the completion of the film. One of the pictures is of a cake that is of a clipboard of the film designed on it. The text reads the film’s title with 'It's a wrap' written on it. We can also see Genelia with the director in one of the pictures.
While sharing the post, Prasanna wrote, “What an absolute delight of a human @geneliad You are a treasure my friend." He also added a red heart emoji. Reacting to the same, Genelia said, “Most favourite person Lucky are those who have a director like you Prasanna (accompanied by a green-heart emoji)-ever so grateful)”
The film is backed by Aamir Khan’s production banner Aamir Khan Films LLP and is slated for a Christmas release. It will focus on the story of people with Down Syndrome. While other cast members remain undisclosed, reports suggest the film will feature a noteworthy ensemble.
Talking about the film, a source told Pinkvilla, “The interpersonal relationships in the film and the evolution of lead characters is also very much like the cult classic, which led to Aamir and team zeroing down on the title Sitaare Zameen Par." The film will mark the first on-screen collaboration of Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh.
