Sita Ramam: Here’s when Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur’s period romance directed by Hanu Raghavapudi will hit theatres

It would’ve been quite convenient for Dulquer Salmaan to pick up a flurry of Telugu film offers post the success of Mahanati, but he’s played his cards wisely. He took quite a while to say yes to his second straight Telugu film, Sita Ramam, and incidentally, the project was also backed by the team of Mahanati. Sita Ramam is directed by Hanu Raghavapudi in which Mrunal Thakur makes her Telugu debut as a female lead.

A period war-romance, Sita Ramam, which has wrapped its shoot, is bankrolled by top producer Ashwini Dutt under Swapna Cinema and is presented by Vyjayanthi Movies. Earlier today, the team announced the release date - August 5. The film will have a grand release in three languages including Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam across the globe.

The supporting cast comprises the likes of Rashmika Mandanna and Sumanth in extended cameos. Other actors in the lineup include Gautam Menon, Prakash Raj , Tharun Bhascker, Shatru, Bhoomika Chawla, Rukmini Vijay Kumar, Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma and Vennela Kishore. The first single from the film, Oh Sita Hey Rama, opened to impressive responses all over.

Vishal Chandrasekhar has scored the music for the film. Sita Ramam is cinematographed by PS Vinod and Shreyaas Krishna. Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao and Sunil Babu are the editor and the production designer respectively. Geetha Gautham is the executive producer with Sheetal Sharma handling costume design.
