Singham Again: Introducing Deepika Padukone as fierce ‘Lady Singham’ Shakti Shetty

Deepika Padukone has just introduced the world to Shakti Shetty. Shakti is a cop from Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. Deepika’s husband Ranveer Singh, who is also a part of the franchise, has called her ‘Lady Singham.’ This hints that Deepika will play a pivotal role in the Singham franchise over Ranveer’s Simmba franchise.

Introducing Shakti Shetty

Deepika introduced Shakti through two images. In the first, she was seen holding the criminal by his head as she threatened to blaze the bullets into his mouth. Laying around a bed of dead bodies, Shakti looked into the camera with a maniac laugh.

The second photo is a close-up of Shakti. With her hand bandaged, she holds the gun diagonal to her head. Shakti also dons a fresh scar on her head with some strands of hair flowing out. The maniac laugh is still not gone and against the backdrop of the blast, leaves quite an impact.

Kareena Kapoor Khan also back in the franchise

Kareena Kapoor Khan was associated with Singham for Singham 2. After nearly a decade, she once again returns in the role of Avni Kamat. The actress had shared an intense still from the movie recently which went viral in an instant. She is also a part of the climax shoot which took place in Hyderabad recently.

The climax scene

The most-spoken-about scene from the film is the climax scene. While Kareena and Deepika are the (almost newest) female protagonists in the movie, two male actors have also joined the franchise. Tiger Shroff and Arjun Kapoor shot for the climax scene with the original trio – Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar. Ajay plays Singham, Ranveer plays Simmba and Akshay plays Sooryavanshi in Rohit’s cop universe. The actors had united to shoot for the climax scene in Hyderabad and netizens got surprise BTS photos from the sets from time-to-time, thus amping the excitement for the film.

Singham Again was slated for Independence Day release in 2024. However, reports suggest that the makers are working on a new date. Stay tuned to know when will this big budget film release in theatres.
