Singer Chinmayi Sripada and her husband Rahul Ravindran, have welcomed twins - a girl and a boy-into their lives. Sharing the first pictures of the duo where the fingers of the little ones are clasped to their parents, Chinmayi said that they have been named Driptah and Sharvas. She captioned the pictures, "Driptah and Sharvas The new and forever center of our Universe. ❤️ @rahulr_23 (sic)."
Her husband, actor Rahul Ravindran, wrote on his social media page that his wife's pregnancy has had a profound effect on his life and that something had changed from within. He added that his wife handled the pregnancy like a rockstar. He wrote on his social media handle, "Watching my wife handle the last 10 months of pregnancy like a rockstar and watching our babies being delivered has been the most incredibly powerful and profound experience of my life. Something changed within. I hope it makes me kinder and better❤️❤️ The strength women have🙏🏽🙏🏽 (sic). He also thanked everyone for sending across their wishes aftter hearing the news. He wrote, "To each and everyone who took the time out to convey your wishes and blessings… thank you. You made our day (sic)."
In the meantime, some seem to have questioned Chinmayi on whether she had the children through surrogacy as the news of her being pregnant was kept under the wraps. To which, Chinmayi, shared a separate note, "I'm absolutely loving these people who are DM-ing me asking if I had twins through a surrogate just because I didn't post photos of me being pregnant. Only those who were my innermost circle knew because I was protecting myself."
She added that she will continue to remain guarded about her personal life. "I was and will be extremely guarded about my personal life, my family, my friends circle. Photos of our kids wont be on our socials either for a long while. And if you need to know I actually *sang* a bhajan during the caesarean as our twins entered the world. Get a grip of that. more on this later. But for now this is enough (sic).”
