Model-turned-actress Simran Chaudhary, who appeared in films like Hum Tum, Ee Nagariniki Emaindi, Check and Paagal, is getting ready for another release this weekend. She is paired opposite first-time writer, actor Harsh Kanumilli in the romantic comedy Sehari, directed by Gnanasagar Dwaraka, which hits theatres on February 11. The film's pre-release event was organised in the city where Simran, at length, elaborated on what it means to be a part of team Sehari.
"I need to first thank all the assistant directors who were so patient in helping me perform to my best potential on the sets. Special word of appreciation for Manasa, the stylist, who made us look as beautiful as we're in the film. Noticing the fun we're having on the stage here, you must have understood the crazy times we must have had on sets. The entire team, which has been a family of sorts, has come together to create this beautiful, little world called Sehari. You'll know it on February 11," she said.
"Our producer Advaya Jishnu Reddy held his ground so strongly all these months and we received so many offers for an alternative release, but he stuck to the plan that the audiences need to experience a fun film like Sehari only in theatres. Cinematographer Aravind Viswanathan, choreographer Yash and composer Prashanth R Vihari have given it their best shot. Music is the lifeline of Sehari and made it bigger, better and grander. The director Gnanasagar Dwaraka has been the captain of the ship in the truest sense of the word," Simran further added.
Talking about her co-star, the Ee Nagariniki Emaindi actress said, "Harsh Kanumilli is an entertainer through and through. The industry will be surprised by what he has to offer. He has added so much life to Sehari, right from the time he started writing it to the last day of filming. It was a pleasure working with him. He thought of me while writing Amulya, I must thank him for that. My dog, Oliver, also the love of my life, is part of the film. I hope audiences have great fun in theatres similar to what we experienced while making it. It's a perfect rom-com to watch for Valentines' Day."
Abhinav Gomatam, Praneeth Reddy Kallem, Akshithaa, Sneha Velidindi, Koti, Balakrishna, Rajeswari Mullapudi play supporting roles in the film.
