Silambarasan TR's Pathu Thala teaser to be out on THIS date, team drops new poster

The much-awaited Silambarasan's Pathu Thala teaser is all set to be out tomorrow. The film, directed by Obeli Krishna, also stars Gautham Karthik and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead. The film's production house Studio Green made the announcement on its social media handle and wrote, "Calm before the storm Unveiling the World of AGR #PathuThalaTeaser Tomorrow at 5.31 PM #PathuThala #Atman #SilambarasanTR #AGR #PathuThalaFromMarch30 Worldwide #StudioGreen Release @StudioGreen2 @Kegvraja @PenMovies @jayantilalgada @SilambarasanTR_ @Gautham_Karthik (sic)."

The makers dropped a new poster of Silambarasan in which he is seen in an intense look. We also get a glimpse of Gautham Karthik who is seen staring at something as he stands amid a sea of women. Silambarasan is said to be playing AGR, a gangster who protects underprivileged people.

In the meantime, we hear that Suriya will be the chief guest for the audio launch of Pathu Thala. It is to be noted that Suriya is currently shooting for Suriya42, helmed by Siruthai Siva, which is bankrolled by Studio Green, who are also the makers of Pathu Thala.

Pathu Thala is the remake of the Kannada movie Mufti, which had Shiva Rajkumar, Srimurali and Shanvi Srivasatava in the lead. The plot revolves around the cat-and-mouse game between a police officer and a gangster. Kalaiyarasan and Teejay Arunasalam play supporting characters in the film. While Farook J Basha and Praveen KL have handled cinematography and editing respectively for the project.

Music composer AR Rahman has scored the music and the filmmarks the comeback of AR Rahman with Krishna after a long haitus. The last time the duo had worked together was in Sillunu Oru Kadhal, which had Suriya and Jyotika in the lead. In the meantime, we hear that the digital rights of the film have been bagged by Amazon Prime Video. Pathu Thala is all set to hit screens worldwide from March 30.
