Salman Khan is teaming up with Sajid Nadiadwala after their blockbuster collaborations in the past with films like Judwaa, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, and Kick. The film, which was announced on April 11, 2023, is directed by AR Murugadoss. Ever since the film was announced, fans have been waiting with bated breath about who will be the leading lady of the film, and now, we bring you this exciting update as the female lead for the film has been locked.
Rashmika Mandanna joins Salman Khan's Sikandar
The female lead of this action-packed entertainer starring Salman Khan is none other than Rashmika Mandanna. Rashmika made her Bollywood debut with Amitabh Bachchan starrer Goodbye and went on to star in films including Mission Majnu and Animal. This will be Salman's first collaboration with the actress and it will be exciting to watch the new on-screen couple on the big screens.

The official account of Nadiadwala Grandson took to their social media to announce the big news. They shared a collage of pictures that has Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandana, Sajid Nadiadwala, and AR Murugadoss in it with the caption: "Welcoming the fabulous @rashmika_mandanna to star opposite @beingsalmankhan in #Sikandar! A source tells Pinkvilla that Sajid Nadiadwala wanted a fresh pairing for the film and when he narrated the story to Rashmika, she was excited about it. The source was quoted as saying, “Sajid Nadiadwala was on the lookout for a fresh pairing as the script demands that at the writing level. He narrated the subject to Rashmika and the actress was excited by not just her part, but also the overall approach of AR Murugadoss and Sajid Nadiadwala to mount the film."
Meanwhile, while announcing the title and release date of the film, Salman Khan shared the official poster of Sikandar with the caption: "Iss Eid ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ aur ‘Maidaan’ ko dekho aur agli Eid Sikandar se aa kar Milo (Watch Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan on this Eid, next Eid, meet Sikandar) Wish u all Eid Mubarak!"
Sikandar is set to release in theatres on Eid 2025.
