Salman Khan's Sikandar is seen struggling at the Box Office, at least in its advance booking. The movie was not able to earn even Rs. 10 crore in advance booking, and the opening day prediction of the film hints that Sikandar might fall behind even Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava day 1.
Salman Khan's Eid release Sikandar has been struggling at the Box Office. As per reports on Sacnilk, the movie will earn between Rs. 25-30 crore on opening day. This is behind Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava opening of Rs. 31 crore. Although some trade pundits predict that the movie might earn Rs. 50 crore, that is unlikely to happen if we look at the early trend of the movie.
Sikandar was leaked online ahead of its release. This is likely to affect the business of Salman Khan's movie. Although the film has been removed from over 600 piracy websites, the damage is done. This is likely to only add to the poor advance booking of the movie. Sikandar has managed to earn only Rs. 10 crore in advance booking, so it might just not cross Rs. 30 crore mark on opening day.
Salman Khan had promised that his fans would take Sikandar to Rs. 200 crore club, but given the current trend, that seems just like one big fantasy. Releasing the movie on Sunday was anyway risky and if the opening day collections do not cross Rs. 50 crore mark, then Rs. 200 crore might just be a far-fetched dream. The Eid release might just go unnoticed because Salman broke the age-old culture of Friday release and so, many might just assume that the movie will be out next week, and by then, the buzz might die out. But then again, this is Salman Khan we are talking about. So, can Sikandar be salvaged in any way, is the question of the hour.
