The craze for Salman Khan's Sikandar has just begun, and it is at a whole new level! The tickets for the movie are priced as high as Rs. 2,200, and even then, the booking platforms suggest that Sikandar is almost sold out. The most sales for this film come from cities like Mumbai and Delhi. They are currently competing for who has more houseful shows for Salman Khan's Eid offering.
The ticket prices for theatres with Director's Cut or Luxe, particularly in Mumbai, go up to Rs. 2,200. Delhi is not too far behind either, for it charges Rs. 1,600-1,900 per seat. Delhi-NCR's recliner seats also cost Rs. 1,400 for evening shows.

Around 1,39,945 tickets are sold for Sikandar in advance bookings on day 1, according to Sacnilk. This equals to an earning of Rs. 9.42 crore in advance. Delhi is currently leading the race with bookings of Rs. 1.51 crore. Mumbai catches up at Rs. 1.21 crore.
Sikandar is the first time when Salman collaborates with both director AR Murugadoss as well as his female co-star Rashmika Mandanna. The movie has also applied a new strategy. It is the first time that any Bollywood film breaks the Friday release rule and not for a Thursday or mid-week release, but for a Sunday release. This happens mainly because Salman wanted his movie to be out closer to Eid, which falls on Monday, March 31.

It is just day 1 in advance booking so it is expected but Salman Khan’s Sikandar is not even remotely close to earning Rs. 100 crore at the Box Office, not yet. The movie has not even minted Rs. 10 crore in the advance booking so far. In that sense, it has a slow opening, but it has a higher scope of picking up tomorrow. Whether it is the Sunday release that contributes to the lack of awareness among viewers or something else, will get clearer as the numbers are revealed on Saturday, which is a day before the movie’s big release in theatres. Meanwhile, don't miss out on your chance to enjoy Salman Khan's previous Eid release Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan on Zee5 via OTTplay Premium.
