Sikandar Advance Booking Day 1: With even Rs 10 crore mark not touched, Salman Khan starrer hints at an underwhelming start

Salman Khan fans are now counting down the hours to the release of Sikandar, one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Set for an Eid 2025 release, the movie, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, stars Salman in the leading role alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Sharman Joshi, and an ensemble cast. The movie is backed by Sajid Nadiadwala and is now less than a day away from its big Eid release. As we track the advance booking of the movie that opened on March 25, 2025, the numbers look worrisome. While it was estimated that the movie might reach around Chhaava’s advance booking figures, it has still not managed to even touch the ₹10 crore mark.

For the unversed, Sikandar is an action drama that has left Salman Khan fans excited. However, the excitement has still not translated into advance bookings on the scale it should have by now. As per reports, till 10 AM this morning, Sikandar registered an advance booking of ₹6 crore, excluding the blocked seats. While it did see a 48% increase compared to yesterday, that is still not enough for a movie set on such a massive scale. 

While the expectation was that the film would earn somewhere around Chhaava's ₹13.85 crore in pre-sales, Sikandar has yet to even cross the ₹10 crore mark. Around 1.92 lakh tickets have been sold so far in India, with Mumbai and Delhi emerging as the key markets. Gujarat, West Bengal, Karnataka, Telangana, and Rajasthan are also showing decent demand for the film.
