Actor Siddharth scored a big hit with his recent movie Chithha. After successfully running in cinemas, the movie is getting ready for its OTT release soon.
Chithha was expected to arrive on the streaming platform by the end of October. However, it didn't happen. Disney+Hotstar has the streaming rights to the movie. The latest buzz is that Chithha might become available for streaming after completing 42 days in theatres. However, an offical confirmation on the same is awaited.
As per the current industry practice, all new Tamil movies arrive on streaming less than four weeks after their initial theatrical release. It's unclear what is the reason for the delay in Chithha's OTT release.

Despite facing a limited initial release overshadowed by other big releases, Chithha garnered attention from moviegoers and became a commercial success, thanks to positive reviews.
Recently, Siddharth expressed his gratitude to everyone who watched the movie in theatres. "Thank you to the universe for helping us make this film. To all those who had access to the film and chose to see it in Cinemas... You have my heart and gratitude. You earn the right to talk about cinema, and we owe it to you to listen... All because you went out and supported a film this good. To those without access to our Film in cinemas.... CHITHHA will be on Disney Hotstar in a few weeks. Please do watch it and show us your love," said Siddharth.
In Tamil, Chithha is referred to as the father's younger brother. As the title suggests, it's a story about an uncle and his relationship with his 8-year-old niece. The film deals with the issue of child sexual abuse and highlights that sexual violence against children is more prevalent than one might think.
