We had earlier reported that actor Siddharth will be joining hands with director Sri Ganesh of 8 Thottakkal fame for a film titled tentatively Siddharth 40. Now, the makers have given an interesting update about the film. Amrit Ramnath will be scoring music for the film.
Actor Siddharth will be pairing up with director Sri Ganesh for a film which is tentatively called Siddharth 40. The film is produced by Maaveeran producer Arun Viswa under the banner Shanthi Talkies. The film is directed by 8 Thottakkal-fame Sri Ganesh.
Now, the team has announced that Amrit Ramnath, son of well-esteemed playback singer Bombay Jayashri, will be scoring music for Siddharth 40, making his Tamil debut. Amrit Ramnath earlier scored music for the 2024 Malayalam film Varshangalukku Sesham, starring Pranav Mohanlal in the lead role. The song Nyabagam from the film was a chartbuster at the time of its release.
Apart from Siddharth, the upcoming film also stars Sarathkumar, Devyani, Chaithra J Achar, and Meetha Raghunath in prominent roles. The film's release date is yet to be announced.
Young composer Amrit Ramnath made his composing debut with the 2024 hit Malayalam film Varshangalukku Sesham which was released earlier this year. The film is available for streaming on SonyLIV and alternatively on the OTTplay Premium app available on Google Play Store and App Store.
Varshangalukku Sesham is a coming-of-age drama, written and directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan and stars Dhyan Sreenivasan and Pranav Mohanlal in the lead roles, along with Nivin Pauly, Kalyani Priyadarshan, YG Mahendran, Shaan Rahman, Neeta Pillai, Aju Varghese, Basil Joseph, Neeraj Madhav, and others in supporting roles.
The film revolves around an aspiring composer and director coming to Madras from Kerala, in order to make it big in the film industry. Varshangalukku Sesham opened to a positive reception upon its release.
