We had earlier reported that actor Siddharth will be teaming up with director Sri Ganesh for a film which is tentatively titled Siddharth 40. Now, on Sunday, the makers of the film unveiled a new exciting detail about the project. The team announced that actor Sarathkumar will be joining the cast, for the occasion of actor's birthday. In addition, actor Devyani will also be seen in a prominent role.
Sarathkumar joins Siddharth 40
On Sunday, for the occasion of Sarathkumar's birthday, the makers of Siddharth 40 announced that the senior Tamil actor has joined the cast of the upcoming project. The film is directed by filmmaker Sri Ganesh, who made the critically acclaimed film 8 Thottakkal, marking his first collaboration with Siddharth. In addition to Siddharth and Sarathkumar, Devyani will also be part of the cast.
The film will be produced by Arun Viswa under the banner Shanthi Talkies, which made the 2023 hit film Maaveeran starring Sivakarthikeyan. Further announcements on cast and technical crew of the film are expected to be revealed by the team one by one in the times to follow. While the makers have remained tight-lipped about the film’s plot, they had earlier stated that Siddharth 40 will feature a story with universal appeal and content that resonates with hearts across borders.
Meanwhile, Siddharth was last seen in the recently released Indian 2. The film is headlined by Kamal Haasan and directed by Shankar.
