Reincarnation stories have been a trend in Telugu cinema since times immemorial and the success of Shyam Singha Roy has further reinstated the popularity of the genre among audiences. The film, starring Nani, Sai Pallavi and Krithi Shetty in lead roles, is directed by Rahul Sankrityan and audiences have been showering a lot of love upon it, be it theatres or its OTT release on Netflix recently.

Following its digital release, the makers Niharika Entertainment have been releasing a series of deleted scenes from the film. The latest addition to them is a deleted scene where Nani, in the role of Vasu, goes back to Kolkata and the house where he, in his previous birth as Shyam Singha Roy, had stayed along with his better half Rosie (played by Sai Pallavi).

The scene has Nani hurriedly moving to the house, checking Shyam's news articles, memories of his publication, rekindling the moments with Sai Pallavi and also a photograph where a prostitute has just given birth to a child in the streets of Sonagachi. It's quite obvious why the scene couldn't make it to the final cut.

Beyond the scene that's already there in the film (where Vasu remembers his past), there's nothing new that this sequence establishes about the character or his past. In the context of the narrative, it wouldn't have helped the film more than adding up to its screen time. Venkat Boyanapalli has produced the film which has music by Mickey J Meyer. Sanu John Verghese is the cinematographer while Navin Nooli is the editor.
