Even Golmaal actor Shreyas Talpade can't wait for the next edition of the series. Fans were assured that production on Gomaal 5 would begin shortly, but so far, Rohit Shetty has failed to deliver. Shreyas co-starred with Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Kareena Kapoor, and Tusshar Kapoor in the 2008 film Golmaal Returns.
Ajay Devgn, Sharman Joshi, Tusshar Kapoor, and Arshad Warsi were also in Rohit's 2006 film Golmaal: Fun Unlimited. In the years following the success of Golmaal, Rohit directed three further instalments in the series.
Shreyas told ETimes that, to be completely honest, not only the fans but even they are anxiously waiting for Golmaal 5. The announcement that they would be filming Golmaal again with Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn came just before the pandemic struck. But then COVID-19 happened, and things changed for the worse. Therefore, they cannot tell people what the plot is because they do not know it. Only Rohit knows the truth. They can go into more detail about it if he calls and tells us. But certainly, they are also eagerly awaiting Golmaal 5, much like the fans.
When asked to reflect on some of the more memorable times he's had while working on the sets of the films, Shreyas remarked that every day is a party day. Team leader Rohit Shetty deserves a lot of credit for this, as his shows are always full of energy and laughter. He heard that the filmmaker has promised to keep making Golmaal for as long as he keeps making films. For the same reason, they hope Rohit continues making Golmaal films for as long as they do because hanging around with everyone on set is so invigorating.
Shreyas last appeared in the Hindi film Kaun Pravin Tambe? He next appears in Emergency, Kangana Ranaut's first film as director. The film also stars Kangana, Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, and the late Satish Kaushik, and Shreyas plays former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
