Shraddha Srinath, who's had two releases this year - Aarattu in Malayalam and Dear Vikram in Kannada - plans to sign off 2022 on a high with another release, the multilingual drama Witness. The film, whose shoot was wrapped earlier this year, is directed and filmed by Deepak. Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under People Media Factory, the film also stars Rohini Molleti in an important role. The latest report confirms that the drama is set to release directly on OTT.

Noted OTT platform SonyLIV has acquired the digital rights for the film and will premiere it across Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam languages on December 9. For the uninitiated, Witness is a film set amidst an urban backdrop where an architect goes out of the way to fight for the basic rights and the justice of conservancy workers, portraying cities and the power system in a different light.

While the first poster of the film was launched earlier this year, SonyLIV will be unveiling the trailer across multiple languages today at 6 pm. Shanmugaraja, G. Selva, Subathra Robert, Rajeev Anand and M.A.K Ram play other notable roles in Witness. Muthuvel and JP Sanakya are the screenwriters for the film which is edited by Philomin Raj and has music by Ramesh Tamilmani. Vivek Kuchibhotla is the co-producer.

People Media Factory's earlier releases include Oh Baby, Goodachari, Venky Mama, Kudi Yedamaithe, Raja Raja Chora and Bloody Mary. While Krishna and his Leela was Shraddha's last release in Telugu, she was seen opposite Vishal in Chakra in 2021.
