Saindhav, which is gearing up for a release on January 13 next year, is among the many films releasing for the Sankranthi festival season. Director Sailesh Kolanu, who shot to fame with the Hit series, helms the film headlined by Venkatesh, Shraddha Srinath, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and others. The cast and crew of the film are currently in Vijayawada and Guntur to promote the thriller among media, college students.
While talking about the film, the director said that Saindhav is a perfect blend of drama, action and thrill, promising to hold the attention of audiences for 135 minutes. He shared, “The raciness you witnessed in the screenplay of Hit and Hit 2 will exist here too, you won’t tilt your head even once. Beyond crime, the story is about a family, there’s a daughter emotion and it’ll have a riveting screenplay.”
Shraddha Srinath, who is returning to Telugu cinema after the OTT release of Krishna and his Leela (out on Netflix, aha) in 2020, said Saindhav is an important film for the society. The actress expressed confidence that it’ll be a milestone film in her career and said she’s very excited about it. She added that it wasn’t a conscious decision to take up roles as a mother (in Jersey and Saindhav).
Venkatesh, who visited the iconic Babai Hotel in Vijayawada earlier in the day, delivered his famous ‘Lekka maruddhi na kodaka’ dialogue from the teaser at the press meet. “I wish all the other films releasing for Sankranthi the very best. I’m sure they would have also done a good job. Like the other films, people will watch Saindhav too and make it a hit.”
Later in the day, the team will meet and interact with students at Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology, Guntur and KL University. Baby Sara, Arya, Ruhani Sharma, Andrea Jeremiah, Jisshu Sengupta, Mukesh Rishi are also part of the cast. Saindhav is produced by Venkat Boyanapalli under Niharika Entertainment.
