Emraan Hashmi, Rajeev Khandelwal, Mouni Roy and Mahima Makwana star in Showtime, which is set to premiere on March 8 on Disney+ Hotstar. Ahead of the release, the makers have now released a song from the series titled Class, which has been sung by Badshah and Nikita Gandhi.

Unveiling of ‘Class’

Showtime producer Karan Johar posted a promo to the song, Class, on Instagram, which has Mouni Roy in a glamorous avatar. The song also features Badshah in a stylish red pantsuit. The highlight of the video is Mouni, in a multicoloured tassel mini dress and purple boots, grooving to Badshah’s vocals, which raises the temperature, and how! Towards the end of the video, Emraan enters as the song's producer. The video also gives a glimpse into the relationship shared between the characters of Rajeev Khandelwal and Shriya Saran. Overall, the clip gives us a peek inside the glamorous world of Bollywood.

Karan captioned the video, “Bollywood ka show aur bad boy ka gaana na ho? Impossible!!! Badshah with Diesby ft. Nikhita Gandhi turning up the heat with the beat!”

Who plays what in Showtime

In this highly anticipated series, Emraan Hashmi plays a young producer who is fixated on churning out a mass hit, while Mahima Makwana plays a journalist who finds herself drawn to the glamorous yet tumultuous world of Bollywood.

Rajeev Khandelwal is a Bollywood star intoxicated by his own fame. He even has a dedicated fan base known as the 'Armanians'. He turns down the offer to do a film backed by Emraan's character.

Adding to the star-studded cast is veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, who plays a wealthy businessman who 'rules' Bollywood.

The series also has a powerhouse lineup of executive producers, including Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra and Mihir Desai.

Excited about being a part of Showtime, Emraan said in a statement, "Having been a part of the industry for so long, I've witnessed both its triumphs and pitfalls. When this opportunity to join 'Showtime' presented itself, I seized it eagerly, finding resonance with the narrative on multiple levels."
