Shooting for Test, starring actors Nayanthara, R Madhavan and Siddharth, wrapped up; See BTS video

We had earlier announced that actors Nayanthara, Siddharth and R Madhavan will be coming together for an upcoming Tamil film titled Test. The makers on Wednesday took to social media to share the news that the shooting of the film has been wrapped up.

Taking to Instagram, the makers released a BTS video featuring the lead actors, as various shots of the sets are shown. There are smiling faces, cricket stadium, artists getting ready, technicians working and clapboards clicking. Towards the end of the video, Siddharth is seen telling that the shooting has been completed. The release date of the film is yet to be announced by the makers, while it is revealed that it will hit the theatres for summer 2024.

The team behind Test:

Test is directed by producer Sashikanth in his maiden directorial venture. The film is backed by Y Not Studios of the producer. The film stars Siddharth, Madhavan and Nayanthara in the lead roles, besides featuring Meera Jasmine in a pivotal role. Test will mark Meera Jasmine’s comeback to Tamil cinema after the 2014 film Vingyani. It is to be noted that it will be the first time Nayanthara is working with both the male leads. Nayanthara plays the role of Kumudha and had recently completed shooting her portions. Meanwhile, Madhavan and Siddharth have earlier worked in the 2004 film Aaytha Ezhuthu directed by Mani Ratnam.

What else do we know about Test?

The makers have remained tight-lipped about the film. But going by the title and the promotional materials released, the film will revolve around cricket. It will revolve around tough decisions that three individuals should make ahead of an important cricket match.

The film will have music scored by Shakthisree Gopalan who will be making her debut as composer with Test. With TS Suresh as the editor, Viraj Sinh Gohil will be handling the cinematography of the film. Dinesh Subbarayan handles the stunts. While Dhruv Panjuani is the sports director, the film is expected to release sometime in summer 2024.
