Thanks to the social media, anyone today can become an overnight sensation. There have been many testimonies to this. One such young talent was Devraj Patel, who became extremely famous for his video 'dil se bura lagta hai bhai'.
Today, the whole of India (esp. the social media community) was shocked beyond words when they got to know that Devraj Patel has passed away. As per the reports available, it’s being said that Devraj was with his friend near Labhandih in Raipur when a speeding truck hit his bike from behind. The police had confirmed that, it was Devraj's friend who was driving the bike. Reports stated that, while Devraj Patel died on the spot, his friend had got injured severely.
The moment everyone got to know the sad and shocking news about the sudden death of Devraj Patel, many just could not believe it initially. Bhupesh Baghel (Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh) took to social media and mourned the loss of Devraj Patel. Bhupesh Baghel tweeted stating, “Devraj Patel, who made his place among crores of people with “Dil Se Bura Lagta Hai”, who made us all laugh, left us today. The loss of amazing talent at this young age is very sad. May God give strength to his family and loved ones to bear this loss. Om Shanti”. He had also posted a video of Devraj Patel along with his mourning message.
As for Devraj Patel, his popularity on social media was definitely growing immensely. Testimony to this is in the form of his subscribers and followers on social media. While Devraj Patel had 4 lakh subscribers on his YouTube channel, he had 57K followers on Instagram. In the recent past, Devraj Patel had even worked with yet another popular social media personality Bhuvan Bham in his web series ‘Dhindora’.
