Shiva's next with Yogi Babu titled Saloon, film set in pre-independence era

Actor Shiva is all set to be seen in yet another comedy caper titled Saloon. The film has a tagline that roughly translates to 'all hairs are equal'. Going by the first-look poster, it looks like the film is set in the pre-independence era and Shiva plays a barber. We also see packs of British police officers in the backdrop with the vintage cars along with many Indians, who seem to be fighting for freedom. As for Shiva, he is seen posing with a gun, a mirror and a haircut kit in front of him.

Arya, who released the first look on his social media handle, wrote, "Here it is @RedhanCinemas #Saloon First Look #HBDShiva positive energy Starring @actorshiva @iYogiBabu @UrsKarishma Dir @dir_mkumaran (sic)." Music is by Sam CS, cinematography by Manikandan and editing by San Lokesh. The film is bankrolled by Redhan Cinemas.

Shiva, too, wrote on his social media handle, "Need ur wishes & prayers Nalladhe Nadakum @RedhanCinemas & @dir_mkumaran #Saloon 1st Look @iYogiBabu @inder3kumar @UrsKarishma @SamCSmusic @dopmanikandan @Sanlokesh @YugabhaarathiYb @TherukuralArivu @Azharfreeze @raja8073 @onlynikil @teamaimpr @CtcMediaboy (sic)." The film is written and directed by Muthukumaran.

In the meantime, Shiva is also gearing up for the release of Kasethan Kadavulada, a heist comedy, which is a remake of the 1972 film of the same name. The star cast includes Shiva, Priya Anand, Yogi Babu, Urvashi, Thalaivasal Vijay, Manobala, Sivaangi Krishnakumar, Pugazh to name a few. The plot revolves around a man trying to steal from his stingy stepmother. The film is scheduled to hit screens on December 23, 2022.

Shiva is also part of Naai Sekar (not to be confused with Vadivelu's Naai Sekar Returns), a science fantasy comedy, written and directed by debutant Kishore Rajkumar. Shiva will be lending his voice for a dog, which is the central character of the film. Sathish and Pavithra Lakshmi play the lead in it.
