Shivaji Satam, who plays the role of ACP Pradhyuman in CID, has confirmed his exit from the show. The actor's death graph will be entering the series soon, and that could probably be the last of him we see on CID. The actor confirmed the same in a recent interview.
Shivaji Satam is planning to go on a break in May. He told Bombay Times that he is taking a holiday because his son who lives abroad is coming to India and thus, he wants to spend more time with him.
Briefly, yes. However, even Satam is unsure whether his character is gone forever. He said that it depends on the makers. The actor confirmed that he is not shooting for CID anymore. "I have worked hard and everyone deserves a break. Whether my track will be revived or not is something the makers know well," he shared.
A little birdie also shared that TV actor Parth Samthaan is likely to enter CID. Whether his entry means a permanent exit for Satam, or that ACP Pradhyuman will be revived from the dead, remains uncertain. Since various CID characters have returned from the dead over the years, Pradhyuman's return would also not be too surprising. But like Satam mentioned, it depends on the makers.
ACP Pradhyuman is a legend on CID. Right from his ‘Daya, Tod Do Darwaaza’ to ‘Kuch toh gadbad hai Abhijeet,’ all with a hand gesture, Pradhyuman is a character that every 90s kid grew up watching on TV, and is fond of nonetheless. He is among the central leads on the show and thus, the character’s upcoming death graph is rather shocking.
