Sharib Hashmi, who plays a blue-haired Punjabi, who is an aspiring singer in the upcoming film Shiv Shastri Balboa, reveals why his name is Cinnamon Singh in the film.

In a fun chat with OTTplay, when the actor was asked the reason behind his quirky name in the film, Sharib said, "First, the film is about the spice of life and cinnamon is a spice. Also, my character is a budding singer who is inspired by Honey Singh. So, he chooses the stage name Cinnamon, because honey and cinnamon are a great combination! His life is actually a hard, but on the surface, it is so funny! I mean, he wants to be a singer, who has recorded an album investing his own money. He is trying to sell it, but no one is taking it even for free! It's that bad (laughs)."

The actor also mentioned that working with legendary actors like Anupam Kher and Neena Gupta was a dream come true for him, since he learned a lot just by observing them on the set.

Sharib is busy with multiple projects, and in the recent past, he was seen in Vikram Vedha, Mission Majnu, The Family Man and The Great Indian Murder, among others.

Set in the heartland of the USA, Shiv Shastri Balboa revolves around two elderly people who find themselves in an extraordinary situation, and give life a second chance.
