Mollywood actor Shine Tom Chacko is the latest to join the sets of director Nelson Dilipkumar’s Beast, which has Vijay in the lead. The shoot of the movie, which also has Pooja Hegde, is currently progressing in Chennai.
Shine joined the sets on Wednesday and will begin shooting his portions from today. The movie, which is touted to be a mass action film, marks Shine’s debut Kollywood venture. The actor has been part of several acclaimed Malayalam movie lately including Unda, Love and Operation Java – all of which got a rousing response since their release on OTT platforms in the past two years.
Beast has been a much-anticipated film and the makers revealed a glimpse of what to expect on Vijay’s birthday on June 21 this year through its two action-packed posters. One had Vijay posing with a sniper as a smoke canister clouds the scene, while another saw the superstar reloading his gun as two attack helicopters are seen in the background.
The movie, which marks Nelson’s third directorial after Nayanthara’s Kolamavu Kokila and Sivakarthikeyan’s Doctor, had begun its first schedule in April and had wrapped up those portions in a month. The next schedule was delayed due to the lockdown.
Apart from Shine, the movie also has another Malayalam presence in Aparna Das. Yogi Babu and VTV Ganesh are also part of the cast of this big-budget film, which has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
Meanwhile, Shine is also part of the upcoming Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer Kuruthi, which is set to release on August 11 on Amazon Prime Video. On Wednesday, the actor was part of the film’s video promotions from the sets of Beast.
