This year, April was all about the scorching sun, when the heatwave lashed down with all its rage throughout Bengal. Though at present the situation is under control due to rain and cloudy weather, we had a fair idea of what kind of weather awaits us in May. Schools and colleges were closed during the heatwave. The authorities of the Federation of Cine Technicians and Workers of Eastern India also instructed the makers and shooting teams to quickly finish any outdoor shooting. Hence, the entire team of the film Shikar, starring Rituparna Sengupta, Yash Dasgupta, and Nusrat Jahan, tried its best to wrap up the shooting as soon as possible. Recently, a behind-the-scenes video of the film was released. It showed what the actors have done during the shooting.
Not only the actors, but every member of the team was also seen sweating profusely. Yash, Nusrat, and Rituparna were extremely uncomfortable in the heat. Still, the team tried its best to wrap up the shooting. In that situation, water was of supreme importance to every member of the team. The shooting started in March and went on through April, in the cruciating heat. Rituparna shared the video to show in what situation they had to work.
The video shows everyone sweating and dozing in tiredness. The actress said, “We are suffering, but still excited.” Yash was seen wiping his face time and again with tissue paper. Nusrat said, “The temperature has crossed all the limits.” Rajatava Dutta was seen wearing make-up and saying, “I have to shoot now, in this heat.”
During that period, everyone depended on water and aerated drinks. Someone said, “Any time we can have sunstroke.” Rituparna wrote, “Even this much heat could not stop us shooting for Shikar.”
The film is of the thriller genre and directed by Debraj Sinha.
Many people commented on this post. Saheb Bhattacharya wrote, “You still look so soothing in this excruciating heat.”
