Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur has shared a cryptic poem on his Instagram account, tagging his daughter Kaveri Kapur, after his ex-wife and actor-singer Suchitra Krishnamoorthi accused him of infidelity during their marriage. The poem talks about being human, vulnerable, confused, jealous, angry, loving and spiritual.

Shekhar Kapur took to Instagram and wrote: “I am jealous, and greedy and angry and I hurt I love and I hate I mean well but manipulate. I am confused and riddled with doubt of course I am I am after all only human and yet I long I yearn I aspire to be compassionate to be creative to be whole to be infinite I am spiritual too I am two but one must live with the other with compassion with forgiveness till I am only one but till then I must learn to be two I am after all only human #compassion #jealous #infinite #me #you #human #compassionate #poetry #poem @kaverikapur.”

The post comes days after Suchitra opened up about her troubled marriage with Shekhar in an interview with Siddharth Kannan. She said that Shekhar had cheated on her and that marriages break because of disrespect. She also said that she has not forgiven actress Preity Zinta, who was allegedly involved with Shekhar at one point.

Suchitra and Shekhar got married in 1997 and divorced in 2009. They have a daughter, Kaveri, who is a singer-songwriter. Suchitra said that she was obsessed with Shekhar since she was a child and that she lied to her parents to meet him for a film audition. She also said that Shekhar did not want her to act after their marriage and that she quit acting due to his patriarchal mindset.

Shekhar Kapur is known for directing films like Masoom, Mr India, Bandit Queen and Elizabeth. Suchitra Krishnamoorthi has acted in films like Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Dushman Duniya Ka and My Wife's Murder. She has also released several albums as a singer.
