Shekhar Home OTT release date: Director Srijit Mukerji's new project, a web show, was recently announced. Titled Shekhar Home, the series stars Kay Kay Menon in the lead role. It is inspired by Sherlock Homes stories of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. A few days ago, the makers of this web show dropped the first glimpse. And today, the release date of Shekhar Home has been announced along with a new poster. Also starring Ranvir Shorey and Rasika Dugal, the series will soon stream on JioCinema.

Kay Kay Menon will be essaying the role of detective in Srijit Mukerji's web show, Shekhar Home. As per the official announcement by the streamer, the web series will drop on the OTT platform on August 14. The poster of Shekhar Home features Kay Kay alongside his co-stars Ranvir Shorey and Rasika Dugal.

While announcing the release date on social media, the streamer wrote, "A web of unsolvable mysteries and only one man who can solve them. ShekharHome streaming 14 August onwards exclusively on JioCinema Premium (sic)."
Earlier, when Shekhar Home was announced, the makers revealed that Kay Kay Menon's character is the only one who can solve all mysteries in the show. It was then confirmed that the web show is a detective drama. While Kay Kay's character details are out, Ranvir and Rasika's roles in Shekhar Home aren't known yet. The series also stars Kirti Kulhari.
What is Shekhar Home all about?
As per the synopsis on JioCinema, this series is set against the backdrop of a town called Lonpur in West Bengal in the 1990s. The synopsis further reads, "Here, Shekhar meets Jayvrat Sahni, another middle-aged bachelor, who becomes his house-mate due to a twist of fate. The duo end up solving mysteries across East India."
