Shehnaaz Gill on why she is indifferent to romance: ‘Sabne mujhe dhokha diya’

Ever since actor Sidharth Shukla died in September 2021, actress Shehnaaz Gill’s life has changed drastically. Her outlook towards life has changed. Once known as a cheerful and bubby girl, she has now developed an indifference towards romance.

Reportedly, the late actor and Shehnaaz had met on the sets of Bigg Boss 13 in 2019, and at that time, rumours were rife that romance was brewing between the two. However, in a tragic turn of events, Sidharth lost his life on September 2, 2021. This surely had jolted her emotions. Now, over two years have passed since the incident.

Shehnaaz now feels much stronger than before. She also feels that she hasn’t come across any person with whom she connects as strongly as she did with Sidharth.

Not only this, but the actress also reveals to a news portal that she has always been unlucky and betrayed in love.

In an interview with Instant Bollywood, Shehnaaz was asked if she has ever been betrayed in love. She said, “Dhoka maine aaj tak kissi ko nahi diya, to be frank (I’ve never betrayed anybody), but sabne mujhe diya hai. Jo bhi gaya hai, mujhe chhod ke gaya hai (But I’ve been betrayed, I’ve always been the one to be dumped). Kyunki jab insaan ka pata chal jaata hai ke do jagah ya teen jagah… Phir insaan peeche hatt hi jaata hai (When one comes to know that their partner has a roving eye, one steps back).”

Shehnaaz said that she has become ‘strong’ over the years. ‘Dhoka deke chale jao (Stay me in the back and leave)… Mera lekin yeh hai ab, aao aur jao, dafa ho jao, bhaad mein jao (That’s what I believe these days. Leave if you want to, go to hell, get lost).”

Recently, during Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan promotions, megastar Salman Khan acknowledged that Shehnaaz and Sidharth shared a great bond with each other.
