PremiumShefali Shah starrer Delhi Crime is now available in Tamil and Telugu on Netflix

It didn’t come as a surprise when Delhi Crime bagged an International Emmy for Best Drama last year. The show, fictionalizing the events of a horrific case of sexual assault in Delhi in 2012 that shook the entire nation stars Shefali Shah in the lead. Streaming on Netflix since 2019, a second season for the show is highly anticipated in the near future. Netflix, in an effort to cater to audiences across languages, has now enabled the option to watch Delhi Crime in Tamil and Telugu languages.
Written and directed by Richie Mehta, seven episodes of Delhi Crime shed light on the aftermath of the 2012 Delhi rape case. The plot focuses on Deputy Commissioner of Police Vartika Chaturvedi (Shah) who is leading the investigation and is in pursuit of the absconding criminals. The show was praised for bringing the important issue of sexual assault cases in India being on the rise with it's gripping narrative.
The first two episodes of the show first premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival in January, following which Netflix acquired the streaming rights of the show later that year. Season 2 of Delhi Crime is expected to premiere later this year on the streaming giant.
Now that Delhi Crime is available in two regional languages - Tamil and Telugu - the show can reach a wider audience and garner more praise. The show also stars Rasika Duggal, Rajesh Tailang, Yashaswini Dayama and Adil Hussain in pivotal roles.
