The sarcastic Shamshunissa of Darlings and the considerate DCP Vartika Chaturvedi of Delhi Crime are very different characters. Shefali Shah, however, easily transitions into each role. Her advice is to do your homework thoroughly. The actor acknowledges that she gets into a zone when portraying a demanding part, and the upcoming second season of Delhi Crime was no exception when she once again assumed the role of her DCP persona.
She explained to Mid Day that whenever the actor is working on a project, she is so immersed in it that she has no desire to stop. Shah takes a shower and begins studying for the next day once she concludes her day of shooting. She is in a zone, and everyone in her home is aware of it. The actor doesn't know how to do it any other way.
With Jalsa and Darlings so far this year, Shah has hit the mark. She plans to keep things steamy with the impending Netflix offering. The performer credits her choice of scripts for the ideal run.
Shah said that she has always been picky, and she is much pickier now. The actor simply can't participate in something if it doesn't excite her. In both cases, she won't be fair to the job.
Earlier, while praising OTT, Shah had told OTTplay that there was a lot of work due to OTT on Netflix and other platforms. It's amazing that there is so much creative stuff being produced, as it involves not just actors but also sound engineers, costume designers, directors, and authors. She doesn't need anyone because she has access to so much content at home as a viewer.
The actor recalls waiting for her husband and kids to get free so they could go out to eat. Now she is like, "Everybody go," as a big screen is what she wants to see. The entire list is hers, and she can't get enough of it. Shah calls herself a student of cinema and she has access to any content in any language from anywhere in the world.
