Ashneer Grover, whose recent claim-to-fame is Shark Tank India, had hinted that he is ready to sell his stake at BharatPe if he plans to quit the organization. According to recent reports, a resignation is very much on Ashneer’s mind and he is looking at selling his stake at 1 billion USD. Ashneer currently has 9.5% stake in BharatPe.

A report on ET states that while Ashneer did demand full price for his stake, he is willing to sell it even at 1 billion USD (Rs 74, 71,75,50,000). This development, according to the source, comes after the events of the past month.

An audio clip was leaked after which it was speculated that Ashneer spoke to employees at Kotak Mahindra Bank in a tone which calls for serious evaluation. Ashneer denied all claims about the audio clip and even called it fake in various interviews.

Not very long ago, Ashneer told Money Control in an interview that he demands to be paid Rs. 40,000 crores for his share at BharatPe. He said that once he receives his due, anybody paying him can collect the key for BharatPe from him.

In the same interview, Ashneer did hint that he would sell his shares to anybody he wishes to sell them to. He said that he would rather run the company and be a shareholder or sell it to anyone he wishes to.

Ashneer had also stated that he has cleared all cheques from Shark Tank India. The BharatPe MD added that on the contrary, he received more cheques which also he signed and cleared.

Ashneer gained more popularity after he appeared on Shark Tank India as a judge. The other judges on the show included Anupam Mittal, Aman Gupta, Vineeta Singh, Namita Thapar, Ghazal Alagh and Peyush Bansal.
