The Shark Tank India witnessed some really innovative business ideas and models that left the sharks, Anupam Mittal, Ghazal Alagh, Aman Gupta, Vineeta Singh, Ashneer Grover and Namita Thapar, quite surprised. But they were perhaps shocked to death by the pitch by Nihaal Singh Adarsh of Watt Technovations.
Singh was possibly one of the youngest entrepreneurs to come on the show. He is a 19-year-old electronics engineering student from Chandigarh. But that was not the most remarkable thing about him. He proved his brilliance and intelligence with his business idea and the amount he was looking for from the sharks to invest. Singh developed a much-needed accessory for PPE kits for medical practitioners.
He developed a small fan that can cool the PPE suits from the inside and help the medical professionals stay dry and free from exhaustion. The aim of the product was to help those who are working tirelessly during these testing times of the COVID-19 pandemic. But the sharks were astonished when he asked for the kind of investment he is seeking. He wanted to make a deal of Rs 101 for 2 per cent equity in his company. His company is currently valued at Rs 5,050.
All the sharks happily agreed. Lenskart founder, Peyush Bansal even shared his contact number and asked him to connect personally when he comes up with a profitable idea. Singh got an all sharks deal, where all sharks unanimously expressed their faith in the company and his product.
Season one of Shark Tank India ended over a month ago but still continues to make headlines for its one-of-a-kind concept. The show has budding entrepreneurs presenting their business ideas to sharks for some investment in exchange for a share in their company. The show, hosted by Rannvijay Singha, is adapted from the US show, Shark Tank.
The show is available to stream on SonyLIV.
