Two young entrepreneurs presented their smart mop named Caspian to the judges on the most recent episode of Shark Tank India 3. They revealed that their product is an attempt to lower the price of technology, and the inventors of the smart mop asserted that it cuts cleaning time in half. In exchange for 1% ownership in their business, they requested Rs 15 lakh from investors.
After the introduction, Namita Thapar joked with Anupam Mittal, asking if he wanted to mop the floor during the presentation. He enjoys taking product demos, she said, and she dubbed him the "most enthusiastic" Shark Tank judge in India. She remarked that it's Anupam's turn to try, as they must have watched seasons 1, 2, and 3. Vineeta Singh joked with the pitchers, laughing at Namita's remark and telling them to make the floor as muddy as possible. In spite of the challenges, Anupam tested the smart mop.
But the pitchers didn't wow the sharks, so they returned home empty-handed. Namita informed them that their product lacked intelligence and suggested they shift their attention to another area. She urged that both of them are exceptionally bright for their age (24), but she requests that they stop doing this and find another way to put their engineering talents to use. This product is completely unwise; clearly, they have not given it any consideration. She concluded that the product did not provide anything novel or noteworthy.
Vineeta countered, stating that neither of them appears to have any understanding of the market. Anupam and Azhar Iqubal similarly ignored the young pitchers.
The third season of Shark Tank India premiered on January 22, 2024. The new season welcomed back a number of familiar faces from previous seasons, including Executive Director at Emcure Pharmaceuticals Limited Namita Thapar, Co-Founder of Boat Aman Gupta, Co-Founder and CEO of Lenskart Peyush Bansal, Shaadi.com Founder and Director Anupam Mittal, and Sugar Cosmetics CEO Vineeta Singh.
Amit Jain (CEO and co-founder of Car Dekho), Ritesh Agarwal (founder of OYO), Azhar Iqubal (co-founder and CEO of Inshorts), and Radhika Gupta (CEO of Edelweiss Capital) are part of the new panel that has joined them. Another newcomer is film producer Ronnie Screwvala.
