Shark Tank India has definitely revolutionised the startup culture in the country. The business reality show is about the contestants pitching their business models for investments in exchange for a stake in their companies. Season one of the show, which ended early this year, saw investment worth Rs 42 crores in about 200 startups by the sharks.
Season one of the show was judged by Ashneer Grover (former managing director and co-founder of BharatPe), Aman Gupta (co-founder and chief marketing officer of boAt), Anupam Mittal (founder and CEO of Shaadi.com), Namita Thapar (executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals), Vineeta Singh (CEO and co-founder of SUGAR Cosmetics), and Peyush Bansal (co-founder and CEO of Lenskart). After the tremendous success of the show, the makers had announced Season 2 recently and also shared details on how to register to participate on the show.
Now, the makers have released a video recently announcing again that the registration for the new season are now open. Encouraging more women to participate, the video also shows how in the previous season, 48% participants were businesswomen. Seeing so many women participating in the show, shark Aman Gupta saying, "Bharat pe entrepreneurship ki wave jaag gayi hai." The women entrepreneuers have earned Rs 17 crore investment on the show.
The makers have shared a link in their bio on Instagram for budding entrepreneurs to register for the show. As you click on the link, it redirects you to the official page of Shark Tank India and asks for a one-time verification with your phone number. Once the verification is done, you need to read all the terms and conditions to register and can go through a tutorial animated video for details about how to fill the form. A candidate need to fill in details like business model, business type, investment required, revenue and personal details, among others. If shortlisted, the team of the show will get in touch for the second round.
