Shark Tank India season 1 didn’t even have a venue, reveals ex-shark Ashneer Grover

Ashneer Grover has recently made some revelations about Shark Tank India season 1. The former shark has revealed that the makers did not even have a venue for the season. It is to be noted that reports suggested that Shark Tank India was shot in a suburban studio in Mumbai.

“They are very poor. They didn’t even have a venue,” Ashneer said during his speech at Lovely Professional University.

The former shark also revealed that the sharks were selected for the show because they were rich. For the uninitiated, Ashneer was the second richest shark on Shark Tank India after Boat co-founder, Aman Gupta.

During the same speech, Ashneer had revealed that none of the sharks were paid for Shark Tank India season 1. He shared that they all did Shark Tank India just for the fame and because they had nothing better to do over a weekend.

The former BharatPe co-founder revealed that the sharks had to work for long hours. He shared that they would shoot from 8 am everyday and sometimes, wrap up their shooting schedule at 12 am the next day.

Ashneer is the only celebrity who is not a part of Shark Tank India’s second season. He has been replaced by CarDekho’s Amit Jain for Shark Tank India season 2.

The shark, who gained popularity through the first season, has resigned from BharatPe. He had recently announced his memoir, also inspired from his famous Shark Tank India dialogue. The memoir is titled Doglapan: The Hard Truth about Life and Start-Ups. The book is expected to be available by December 26.
