The popular business reality show, Shark Tank India is nearing its finale. The makers have now released a video clip from the upcoming episode showing the 'sharks' Ashneer Grover, Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal, Ghazal Alagh, Namita Thapar, and Peyush Bansal gearing up for the final episode of the first season.
The clip, about three minutes long, shows various entrepreneurs pitching their business ideas and models to the sharks and receiving their feedback. One of the first pitches is by a group of women who sell reversible and convertible clothes. The entrepreneurs run the business, Twee in One. They also said they have recently started a similar clothing line for children as well. They walk in like they are on a ramp walk and present their ideas. While the judges also groove to the music as they enter and are taken by surprise by the idea, they don't seem that impressed. Ashneer asks women to shut the business down as he is not happy with their fashion sense.
The show also has the co-founders of Green Protein, which makes plant-based products, pitch their idea to the sharks. They are seen tasting the products and giving an awful look as they find them too sweet and unsuitable for their taste buds. Aman looks disgusted when he tries a smoothie-like product. There was an entrepreneur selling his idea of On2Cook as well, which is a combination of microwave and induction. The sharks call it 'artsy' and are seen arguing with the founder as he seemed reluctant to accept their feedback. The founders of Nomad Food Project, who make and sell bacon jam and relishes. The sharks listen to them with great interest.
The video ends with Anupam making an offer and getting into an argument with Namita Thapar. Anupam asks Namita not to interfere while he speaks while she responds saying that she wasn't talking to him but to the contestant. Shark Tank India is an official adaptation of the American show Shark Tank. Hosted by Rannvijay Singha, the business reality show is about entrepreneurs pitching their ideas and business models to the investors or 'sharks' for funding for their projects. Season one of the Indian version of the show went on air on Sony TV in December. The final episode of the show will be out on February 4.
