Shark Tank India concluded its first season recently, after having won the hearts and attention of the Indian audience. Ghazal Alagh, who was one of the ‘sharks’ on the show, has now opened up about regretting some of the investments she made on the reality TV series.

The co-founder of Mamaerarth was speaking on a YouTube talk show Figuring Out, hosted by Raj Shamani, where she said, “There have been deals where you have loved their products, but then you went home and checked those products on Amazon, you go like, ‘Oh my God! What do you do now?’ but you can’t then go back, right?”

She added that this was because though the data they shared are true, the product might not always have good ratings and that becomes the problem.

The entrepreneur also said that though she enjoyed the show, there were some parts about the show that she did not enjoy. The worst part of the show, she said, was when she had to pose for pictures, where she did not have to use her brains and just had to pose.

Shark Tank India, which was released in December, is based on the American show Shark Tank. The show has aspiring entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas to the ‘sharks’ or judges, who can invest in the product or company for equity stakes in their company.

Apart from Alagh, the show also had other sharks including Ashneer Grover (managing director and co-founder of BharatPe), Aman Gupta (co-founder and chief marketing officer of boAt), Anupam Mittal (founder and CEO of Shaadi.com), Namita Thapar (executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals), Vineeta Singh (CEO and co-founder of SUGAR Cosmetics), and Peyush Bansal (co-founder and CEO of Lenskart).
