Shark Tank India Season 3 is presently being aired every Monday – Friday on Sony Entertainment Television. The business reality show draws inspiration from the US show of the same name, featuring aspiring entrepreneurs from India – who pitch their business models to a panel of investors and persuade them to invest money in their idea. In the upcoming episodes, we will see the entry of Varun Dua – a fresh Shark in the panel, who will advise budding entrepreneurs about business strategies.
For the unfamiliar, investors on the show are addressed as Sharks.
Get ready for next week, Shark Tank India fans! The upcoming episodes of the show will feature Varun Dua – the CEO of Acko General Insurance, as a Shark on the show. A promotional video of the upcoming episodes has been released today which shows how panelists will grill pitchers with fiery questions.
In one of the scenes shown in the promo, we see a pitcher claiming that 25 percent of travelers lose their wallets while traveling via airports, railways, etc every day in India. Varun Dua did not agree with the pitcher’s statement. He said, “You are saying that one out of four Indians lose their travel wallets per day. Do you mean that 25 percent of the Indian population loses wallets while traveling? Agar aisa hota toh mera business kab ka band ho gaya hota. (If that would have been true, then my business would have closed down.)”
Other Sharks on the panel gave a loud laugh on the show.
In one of the scenes, a pitcher vouches that his designer eyeglasses are the best in the market. Anupam Mittal – a Shark on the show, instantly disagreed with the pitcher’s claim. Peyush Bansal agreed with Anupam’s opinion. Further, he schooled the pitcher for talking about himself and his brand during the entire pitch, instead of focusing the pitch on customer experience.
You can watch the show anytime on Sony LIV.
