Shark Tank India 3 – Pitchers leave Sharks shocked, Anupam Mittal questions how they don’t know what to invest

Shark Tank India 3 is about the come to an end. The makers got to meet pitchers who promoted environmental sustainability. Three pitchers made it to the finale episode of the show. One pitcher caught Anupam Mittal’s attention. The Shark was shocked to know that the pitcher had no idea about how much investment their project would need.

Canvaloop

Canvaloop is among the three companies who make their pitch. The bio-material science company prides in recycling agricultural waste into textile fibres, thus promoting zero-waste as well. They cite the example of Levi’s using 20 percent of Canvaloop fibre for their jeans.

Things got tense when Anupam asked the pitchers how much investment would they require and they had no answer. Telling them that they aim to grow, Anupam mentioned, “Aap 1 lakh tonne ka capacity ka plant dalna hai. Aapko yeh nahi pata hai aapko paise kitne daalne hai.”

Cool The Globe

A carbon handprint app, Cool The Globe, is where people can track and reduce carbon footprint. The app presents more than 100 ways people can do so. Anupam asked them if they are environmental activists or intend to build a business. They called themselves as an entrepreneur, by stating that they have a deadline of 30 years. “Hamaare paas sirf 30 saal hai, climate change ke worst effects avoid karne ke liye,” they said.

The third pitcher

IoT-enabled platform Digital Paani track and manages the health of treatment plants. They claim to treat 90 million litres of wastewater on a daily basis. Namita Thapar had a question for them. She asked them if they have been making profits and they responded with a no. This is what made the Sharks doubtful about investing in the venture.

Shark Tank India 3 grand finale episode is going on. Apart from Anupam and Namita, Amit Jain, Aman Gupta, Azhar Iqubal, Deepinder Goyal, Peyush Bansal, Radhika Gupta, Ritesh Agarwal, Ronnie Screwvala and Vineeta Singh are the Sharks in the season. Varun Dua was the host even this time around.
