Shark Tank India 3 – Anupam Mittal slams energy-drink seller for making false claims, says ‘Consuming cigarettes with ashwagandha is...’

Shark Tank India Season 3 is one of the most popular business reality shows in India. In the latest season of the show, Anupam Mittal, Aman Gupta, Namita Thapar, Vineeta Singh, Peyush Bansal and Amit Jain have been retained as investors (popularly known as Sharks) on the show. The show commenced in January this year and continues to gain momentum on TRP charts. While fresh episodes of the show continue to be aired on Sony LIV, the latest promo of the show sees how an energy drink seller seeks investment for his product.

Anupam Mittal slams energy drink seller for making false claims

The latest promotional video of Shark Tank India Season 3 shows how an entrepreneur named Devesh pitches for his energy drink brand. He claimed on the show that his drink is ‘tasty, healthy and cheap’.

Aman remarked, “Kya dreams hai yaar naye India main (Look at the kind of dreams people have these days...)”. Devesh smiled back in response.

Later, Devesh revealed that he belongs to a small village in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra and outlined how he struggled in his entrepreneurial journey.

Minutes after the pitch concluded, Amit Jain glanced at Devesh’s products and wondered whether his products were healthy to consume.

Anupam Mittal wondered the same. Anupam then took note of an item used to make the product, following which he challenged the claims made by Devesh. Anupam lashed at him and said, “Are you sure your drinks are healthy? I don’t think so. If they are not healthy, just say it. You know that consuming cigarettes with ashwagandha is unhealthy, right? Answer honestly.”

Hearing Anupam did make Devesh run of an immediate response. Only time will tell whether Devesh cracked a deal on the show.
