Shark Tank India season 2 is about to end its highly successful run this week. Although a bittersweet moment for fans, they can take solace in the fact that the show has definitely come a long way since its debut season. The latest episode of the show saw the sharks close the 100th deal made in the tank.
The latest episode featured young entrepreneur Sana Farheen Shaikh, who introduced the sharks to her brand, Forever Modest, a clothing brand that offered a wide range of ‘modest’ clothing for people who opted for clothes that covered most of their body. Forever Modest offered a range of such outfits in casual wear, office wear, sportswear and swimwear, in a number of designs and colours. The founder made an ask for Rs 20 lakhs for a stake of 10% in her company.
The judges were impressed by Sana’s vision, her confidence and product. A round of questioning by the sharks revealed a few issues in the entrepreneur’s vision, and the judges made sure to advise her about the same.
Namita Thapar was the first to make her an offer of Rs 5 lakhs for 5% equity and Rs 15 lakhs in debt at 12% interest rate. Amit Jain was the second shark to throw his hat in the ring, offering Rs 20 lakhs for 20% equity, a deal which Vineeta Singh Joined him for. Anupam Mittal decided to team up with Namita and the duo revised their offer to Rs 20 lakhs for 20% equity.
After Peyush Bansal and Aman Gupta declared themselves out, the entrepreneur was left with two choices. After taking a minute to think about it, Sana came back with a counter offer, asking all sharks to be a part of the deal, for Rs 20 lakhs for 20% equity. The sharks agreed, and thus Sana struck the 100th deal made on the show.
