Sharafudheen's Tholvi F.C.'s teaser gives a peek into the hilarious family drama

The teaser of the upcoming film Tholvi F.C., starring Sharafudheen in the lead role, has been released. Directed by George Kora, who is known for his acting in films like Preman and Adv Mukundan Unni Associates, Tholvi F.C. promises to be a hilarious family drama.

Sharafudheen plays a young man who is struggling to run a restaurant. Johny Antony plays a cryptocurrency investor who is kicked out of his house by his wife. Johny's performance is similar to that in the film Home, which bagged the National Award for Best Malayalam Film this year. 

Althaf Salim, who is known for his comic roles in films like Madhura Manohara Moham and Pachuvum Athbutha Vilakkum, also appears in the teaser. Director George plays a football coach in the film.

Earlier, the first-look poster of Tholvi F.C. carried the tagline "You can't escape your failures. Or your family!" made it clear that the film is about relationships and failures. The music and background score of the film are by Sibi Mathew Alex. Bankrolled by Abraham Joseph, the film will be released in theatres later this year.

George Kora on Tholvi F.C.

In an interview with The New Indian Express, the director said that Tholvi F.C. is about four people in a family who are coping with different failures in life. Johny Antony and Asha Madathil play the parents of Sharafudheen and George's characters.

Tholvi F.C. is George's second film as director after Thirike, which was released directly on OTT. Thirike is about a boy with Down Syndrome. George has revealed that Tholvi F.C. has some elements that are inspired by his life, which was the case with Thirike as well.

Actor-director George also has co-written the script for Nivin Pauly's Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela.
