Shalini Pandey rose to fame with Arjun Reddy, starring Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role. Five years after the massive success of her Telugu film, Shalini made her Bollywood debut with Jayeshbhai Jordaar in 2022. She shared screen space with Ranveer Singh in the YRF film. The film, unfortunately, failed to work at the box office. Despite the underwhelming response, Shalini mentioned she had an 'enriching' experience working on the movie.

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Shalini Pandey spoke about being a part of the 2022 film Jayeshbhai Jordaar. The actress said getting a YRF film was a big deal. "So when you get Yash Raj, when you get Ranveer Singh, when you get everything on paper, of course, you're like, the experience would be so much bigger and nourishing and enriching. And that happened. So I got what I wanted," she told the entertainment portal.

The actress added that things don't always go as planned, although they seem perfect on the paper. Shalini remained philosophical about the film's outcome.
"Okay, that doesn't mean it doesn’t affect me, but after two days, I’m like, Yeah, we’re pretty chill about it. I have to move on," said Shalini. The actress reflected upon her film's underwhelming performance with maturity. "So I got what I wanted from it. How it's perceived, of course, I wanted it to do what we thought it would, but it didn't, and it's fine for me. So what I wanted, I got," she added.
In Jayesbhai Jordaar, Shalini played the role of Mudra Patel while Ranveer Singh was seen as her husband Jayesh Patel. The film was directed by Divyang Thakkar and produced by Maneesh Sharma and Aditya Chopra.
