Shaitan on Hotstar: The Mahi V Raghav crime drama becomes the most watched regional show on OTT

Shaitan is the latest OTT release from the banner of Mahi V Raghav. Right from the day the makers released the first look, there was a lot of curiosity created as to what the show is going to be all about. The trailer took things to another level as it was filled with curse words and huge dosage of violence. Naturally, the series became one of the most anticipated shows on Hotstar.

Shaitan released on the 15th of June, 2023 and took the social media by storm. As the reviews for the action drama were good, the audience started streaming it across the Telugu states and outside. Memes are being made featuring the curse words of the show and the show is getting a wider audience with each passing day.

One of the team members from Hotstar has confirmed to us that Shaitan is the most watched regional series on Hotstar as it has already crossed millions of viewing minutes. The source also adds that with each passing day, the show is getting more views and has clocked four times the views which Mahi's Save The Tigers clocked. This itself shows what kind of a hit Shaitan is. 

Mahi V Raghav has directed this film which is a period drama. Rishi, Deviyani Sharma and Jaffer played lead roles in this show which is about the character of Bali who goes all out in the world of crime and ends up becoming a victim in the hands of the politicians.

There was so much being said about this show by a section of the media stating that such violent shows and dark content should be censored before screening it for the audience. But the makers are not at all complaining and say that the curse words, bold content, and intense gore is the USP of their show and is being consumed big time by the OTT audience.
