Shaitaan new poster - R. Madhavan's 'dark spell' startles Ajay Devgn and Jyotika ahead of the teaser release

The horror genre in Bollywood is something that excites moviegoers, and there's a fear if it hits the right mark or not. The first supernatural film of 2024 is Shaitaan, with an exciting cast including Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, and Jyotika. After its first poster hinting at black magic, the makers have now released the poster featuring all three leading actors.

Revelatory poster features intense performances

Ajay and Jyotika both give intense looks in the poster. But the one who steals the show is Madhavan, showing his villainous side and hinting that he is the one behind all the black magic that might be affecting Ajay and Jyotika's lives.

The team behind Shaitaan shared the poster with a caption stating, "#Shaitaan is coming to cast a spell on you. Teaser out tomorrow. Taking over cinemas on March 8, 2024."

The teaser for Shaitaan will be out tomorrow, and then we can get a glimpse into the world that Vikas Bahl has created in the supernatural thriller genre.  

Origin and remake details

Reports indicate that the film is a Hindi remake of the Gujarati psychological horror thriller Vash, which was released in 2023. Krishnadev Yagnik helmed the film, with Janki Bodiwala, Hitu Kanodia, Niilam Paanchal, Aaryab Sanghvi, and Hiten Kumar in the lead roles.

In the original film, Atharva, a pilot and devoted husband and father, resides in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, with his wife Beena and their two kids, Ansh and Aarya. He makes the decision to take his family on a vacation to a secluded village one day. They meet Pratap, a mystery guy who appears to know a lot about Atharva and his family, when they get to the village. Atharva accepts his offer to assist them while they are away. But Pratap's assistance has a price. Pratap casts a spell on the family, imprisoning them in a realm of evil magic. Before it's too late, Atharva needs to figure out how to break the enchantment and save his family.

In the remake, Janki Bodiwala and Anngad Raaj will be reprising their roles as the kids.

In the meantime, Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak are in charge of producing Shaitaan.
