Bollywood celebrities have welcomed OTT platforms with open arms. The increasing number of movies releasing on digital platforms - the latest being Abhishek Bachchan's The Big Bull - is proof of that. While the actor had already made his digital debut in 2020 with the web series Breathe: Into The Shadows, there are many Bollywood stars who are yet to embrace the digital world completely. But that would soon change with actors Shahid Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit-Nene and Raveena Tandon waiting in the wings to make their OTT debuts soon.
Earlier this year, Pooja Bhatt made her OTT debut through the controversial show Bombay Begums, which was trending on Netflix.
Here are the actors who are to make their OTT debut soon...
Shahid Kapoor
Kapoor is teaming up with The Family Man duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK's for an action thriller. He announced his digital debut recently, but more details on the project are yet to be revealed.
Sonakshi Sinha
Over a decade after her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan in Dabangg, Sinha will now set foot in the digital space. She will be seen in the web series Fallen, which also stars Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah and Sohum Shah in pivotal roles. The Reema Kagti directorial will see Sinha in the role of a cop.
Madhuri Dixit-Nene
Diva Madhuri Dixit-Nene is all set to play a global superstar in her upcoming web series, Finding Anamika. Like the name suggests, Bejoy Nambiar and Karishma Kohli's web series is about a superstar who has gone missing.
Raveena Tandon
Tandon will make her digital debut with Netflix's web show Aranyak. The digital streaming giant announced the show through a virtual event that also revealed their line-up for 2021. She plays the role of a cop named Kasturi Durga in Vinay Vyakul's web series.
Pooja Bhatt made her debut OTT earlier this year
Last seen in Mahesh Bhatt's Sadak 2, which released on Disney+ Hotstar in 2020, Pooja Bhatt made her digital debut with Netflix's controversial web show Bombay Begums. She plays the role of a bank CEO who fights sexual harassment at work and for women in general.
