Shahid Kapoor made his OTT debut with Farzi this year. The actor has now shared an update about its second season.

After making a mark in Bollywood, Shahid Kapoor forayed into OTT space this year. The actor made his digital debut with Raj and DK's web show Farzi. He featured in the show with actress Raashii Khanna. The Amazon Prime Video series turned out to be successful. Now, in a recent interview, Shahid opened up about the second season of Farzi.
Shahid Kapoor confirms Farzi 2
In conversation with Pinkvilla, Shahid spoke about the response to his first OTT project. When he was asked if season 2 of Farzi would happen, the actor mentioned, "So of course, the second season of Farzi will happen. I mean, the response was amazing. Also, the way the story ended, it was open-ended so there is an opportunity for a lot more to happen. It was not like a culmination."
He further mentioned, "So Farzi 2 will happen, and if anything else I like, I will, but as of now, I haven’t said yes to anything for OTT because I had two releases this year, so I'm going to do some stuff for theatres now. But Farzi 2 will definitely happen."
About Farzi
Helmed by Raj and DK, Farzi featured Shahid playing the role of artist Sunny. On the other hand, Vijay Sethupathi was seen as a Special Task Force Officer. The star cast also included Kay Kay Menon, Bhuvan Arora, Zakir Hussain, and more.
Shahid's last OTT release
After the success of Farzi, the actor starred in Ali Abbas Zafar's Bloody Daddy. The OTT film premiered on JioCinema. Like his debut digital project, his second web outing was successful.

His upcoming project
Next, Shahid will be seen sharing screen space with Kriti Sanon in an untitled film. The movie has been backed by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan. It was initially slated for a theatrical release in October 2023. However, the makers have now shifted the film's release date to February 9, 2024.
