Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon’s untitled rom-com gets a new release date? Here’s what we know

Readers may recall that, a couple of months ago, we had reported about the film that stars Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in the leading roles. The makers of the film had even revealed the ‘first look’ of the film. For the unversed, the first look of the film was in the form of a poster that had Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. The duo were seated on the bike and were facing each other in quite a romantic way. While Shahid Kapoor swooned his way to many hearts with his white shirt, blue denim and boots, Kriti Sanon looked every inch an adorable goddess with her short skirt and a crop top.

Film gets announced by its makers

The film’s makers (Jio Studios and Maddock Films), after posting the film’s first look on social media, had captioned the same saying, “Mark your calendars for this ‘impossible love story’ that unfolds on 7th December 2023! Brought to you by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan starring Shahid Kapoor & Kriti Sanon together for the first time ever!”

Film’s release postponed?

As per a source-based news report in Pinkvilla, it has been stated that the film’s release has been postponed. The updated release date, as per the news report, is February 14 of next year, which also happens to be Valentine’s Day! The said report stated that, one of the main reasons for the (still-untitled) film to be released on Valentine’s Day, was that it would be in sync with the film’s plot of appealing to the youth. The said news report also added that the film will be having its music as its USP, which includes peppy dance numbers and an extremely romantic track.

The title of the film, which still remains unannounced, is being reported to be revealed very shortly. As for the film, the Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon starrer has been written and directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah. As for the film’s producers, it is the trio of Dinesh Vijan, Jyoti Deshpande and Laxman Utekar.
