Shaheb Bhattacharya’s serial to replace Tunte

The fate of the Bengali serials nowadays depends solely on their weekly review of the TRP chart. The tradition of running a serial over a few years is no more. Today, some serials stop in two or three months. And it is worse if a serial’s slot is replaced. 

Now, the serial Tunte is axed. A few days back, the promo of the serial Kotha, starring Susmita Dey and Saheb Bhattacharya, came out. This is Saheb's debut in a Bengali serial. Star Jalsha put the serial against Zee Bangla's hit mega Jagaddhatri. It will start on December 15 at 7 PM. 

The hero's name is Agnivo and the heroine's name is Kotha. Kotha is a tree lover. Agnivo is a handsome star chef. But they have a huge tiff. Agnivo calls Kotha as 'Miss Gobardini'. Kotha is apathetic to men. Whenever talks of her marriage come, she says 'Impossible. Men are traitors.' 

Susmita could not give a single hit to star Jalsha after Aparajita Apu. Panchami and Bouma Ekghor were flops. According to television experts, bringing such a heroine against Jagaddhatri is like a gamble. 

Kotha is replacing Tunte, who is sent to the 10.30 pm slot. Gaatchhora will be ending soon and Tunte will take its place.
